Welcome to the Mouko Dojo Brisbane. Thank you for taking the time to get the lowdown on what we have been up to and where we are heading.
We opened our doors in 2012 and I am excited to say that in 2022 we are celebrating ten years being of service to our local community. It's been an amazing experience, building confidence and self-esteem in men, women and children.
We have one student who achieved the rank of Shodan (1st degree black), and we have trained local and state champions in both kata and kumite (forms and sparring).
We have bully proofed many children and to this day I still get messages of gratitude from parents of our students, past and present, thanking me for the work I have done.
During the last 5 years, I have also been donating my time to help local community groups, teaching Kyokushin Karate to children on the Autism spectrum. It's an honour to be able to make a difference in my local community and help those who need a hand up, not a handout.
We are now an independent Kyokushin Karate dojo in the process of joining the Kyokushin Union and are excited about the journey ahead and the opportunities we can present to all our students. It's important that we align ourselves with a professional organisation and not be just another rogue operator.
We are in the process of re branding and consolidating our dojo and we have a few announcements to make shortly so stay tuned.
